Catching public transport

Catching a bus

Transport NSW provides students with free transport between school and home only. Nashdale is fortunate to be serviced by three bus runs. Please visit the company's websites for further information including timetables and routes.

Students living in Orange are serviced by Orange Buslinesand students living in or past Nashdale are serviced by Apple City Tours.

Our school is also a bus interchange with students able to access all high schools from Nashdale.

Applications for bus passes are completed online. Students may catch the bus for a nominal fare if they are not eligible for a bus pass.

Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

• ensure you park safely in school zones
• follow speed signs
• reverse park into a carpark

Parking on school grounds

Please reverse into parking spaces at the school and avoid parking in front of the school gates and the bus zones. This ensures the safety of all little people (and not so little). Children are not to be walked through the staff carpark. There is a path that links the entrance of the carpark to the front of the school that you can use to avoid the Kiss and Drop zone. The path runs along the fence and the administration building.

At Nashdale we are fortunate enough to have a  Kiss and Drop zone.   This allows for additional parking spots and also helps families quickly say goodbye to children and head to work. Children must be ready to launch, bags in hand and hats on heads, drive to the end of the zone before your child disembarks the car.

Parking is available across the road (oval side) or on both sides of the road north of the staff carpark if your child is not ready to launch. Please be mindful that this is a public road with through traffic. Staff are also entering and leaving the carpark. Please be vigilant giving way as you leave the Kiss and Drop zone.
