Nashdale parents and citizens association

Nashdale Public School's parents and citizens association (P&C) meetings are held in the staff room, the first Thursday of each month at 7pm.

Our P&C includes parents, teachers, and interested community members. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Attendance at P&C meetings provides an opportunity for parents to become well informed about the school and its activities. We discuss upcoming school events, proposed changes to departmental policies and procedures, fundraising activities, sporting developments and departmental funds allocations. P&C meetings are also the venue for contributing ideas towards the future direction of Nashdale Public School and provide an opportunity to meet other parents.

Annually, the Nashdale P&C funds:

  • Leaving gift to Year 6 students as they enter High School
  • Books for each student on presentation night
  • A financial contribution to the Nashdale Hall for insurance.

Over the years, the efforts of our P&C have contributed to many enhancements at the school, including:

  • The construction of the existing gym
  • Actively pursuing grants for the fencing and surfacing of the tennis court
  • Subsidising the purchase of Smart Boards
  • Seats at the school oval
  • Purchasing plants for the school gardens
  • Purchasing blinds for the Middle Primary Classroom
  • Purchasing the air conditioner for the Senior Classroom.

The P&C is also responsible for organising special lunches for students each term. Special lunches have included sausage sizzles, soup and pasta.

Parents are invited to be considered for the roles of President, Treasurer and Secretary at the beginning of each school year. Support from parents over many years has contributed greatly to the outstanding resources at Nashdale Public School.

New members are always welcome so please come along to our P&C meetings and contribute education resources for your children.
