HOME READING SCHEME - HOW IT WORKS
Home Reading starts Term 1, Week 2 each year.
Children read and/or are read to for 10 minutes each night.
Parent/Carer dates and initials each 10 minutes. One signature a day maxmum.
When your child has accumulated 100 signatures, he/she returns the record sheet to their teacher.
Your child is then given the next club sheet and can work at becoming a member of the Home Reading Club 200. The same process occurs through to Club 300.
Your child will recieve a certificate at each club level and a book. Children who reach Club 300 by Presentation Night will receive a special certificate sponsored by Cabonne Council.
The ultimate goal is Club 300, however, the Home Reading Scheme is not compulsory.
